Terms of Service
1. Scope
These Terms of Service govern the use of the software-as-a-service offering provided under Patchhog (the “Service”) by the provider Jaden Dahm (the “Provider”). Conflicting terms of the user are rejected unless the Provider expressly agrees to their application.
2. Subject Matter and Description of Services
Patchhog is a service for the automated security analysis of source code. Connected code repositories are checked with deterministic scanners (including secrets, SAST, dependencies/CVE, IaC, malware, container and API security) and the results are presented in the dashboard. The scope of functions depends on the selected plan (Solo, Pro, Business). The Service does not use any artificial-intelligence features.
3. Registration and Conclusion of Contract
Use of the Service requires an account (sign-in via GitHub). A contract is concluded when a paid plan is purchased through the checkout process. The user warrants that the information they provide is accurate.
4. Trial Period
Where offered, a paid plan may begin with a free trial period of 7 days. If the subscription is not cancelled before the trial period ends, it converts into the selected paid plan. As a rule, each customer is entitled to a trial period only once.
5. Prices and Payment
The prices stated in the Service in euros at the time of order apply. Billing takes place in advance, monthly or annually, via the payment service provider Stripe. In the event of a plan change (upgrade/downgrade), the difference is charged or credited on a pro-rata basis (proration). Any applicable value-added tax is shown separately where applicable.
6. Term and Termination
The subscription renews automatically for the selected billing period unless cancelled beforehand. The subscription can be cancelled at any time with effect from the end of the current period via the subscription management (customer portal). Fees already paid are not refunded on a pro-rata basis unless required by law.
7. User Obligations
The user is responsible for keeping their access credentials confidential and warrants that they will only connect repositories for which they hold the necessary rights, and that they will not use the Service improperly.
8. Availability
The Provider endeavours to ensure high availability but does not owe any particular level of availability. Maintenance, force majeure or disruptions at third-party providers may lead to temporary limitations.
9. Warranty and Liability
The Service assists in identifying potential vulnerabilities but cannot guarantee that code is entirely free of errors or security issues. The Provider is liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, as well as for injury to life, body or health. In the case of simple negligence, the Provider is liable only for the breach of a material contractual obligation and limited to the typically foreseeable damage. Liability under the Product Liability Act remains unaffected.
10. Right of Withdrawal for Consumers
Consumers have a statutory right of withdrawal in accordance with the following withdrawal instructions. A consumer is any natural person who enters into the contract for purposes that are predominantly outside their trade, business or profession.
Right of withdrawal. You have the right to withdraw from this contract within fourteen days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period is fourteen days from the day of the conclusion of the contract. To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us (Jaden Dahm, postal address as stated in our Legal Notice, email support@patchhog.dev) of your decision to withdraw from this contract by an unequivocal statement (for example, a letter sent by post or an email). You may use the model withdrawal form below, but it is not obligatory. To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.
Consequences of withdrawal. If you withdraw from this contract, we shall reimburse all payments received from you without undue delay and no later than fourteen days from the day on which we are informed of your decision to withdraw. For this reimbursement we use the same means of payment that you used for the original transaction, unless expressly agreed otherwise with you; in no event will you be charged any fees as a result of this reimbursement.
Early expiry of the right of withdrawal. In the case of a contract for the supply of digital content not delivered on a tangible medium, the right of withdrawal expires once we have begun performance, provided that you have expressly consented to performance beginning before the withdrawal period expires and have confirmed your acknowledgement that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal. You give this consent and acknowledgement during the checkout process, before your subscription starts.
Model withdrawal form. (Complete and return this form only if you wish to withdraw from the contract.)
To Jaden Dahm, postal address as stated in our Legal Notice, email support@patchhog.dev:

11. Changes to the Terms
The Provider may amend these Terms with effect for the future and will provide timely notice of any such changes. If the user does not object within a reasonable period or continues to use the Service, the amended terms are deemed accepted.
12. Final Provisions
The law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. Mandatory consumer-protection provisions of the consumer’s country of residence remain unaffected. Should any provision be invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions remains unaffected.
